Quilt "Road to Oklahoma"

€300.00

This quilt is inspired by the classic quilt-pattern Road to Oklahoma, which I change bit by “breaking” some arrows, creating a patchwork within the patchwork.

My quilts represent moments of my life: I wanted to translate the current state I’m in : a big life crisis, where suddenly the path is not shown anymore and seems broken. Nothing is linear and still we have to continue the road.

—

Quilt “Road to Oklahoma”

Dyed with indigo, madder roots, eucalyptus bark and cochineal inks screen-printed on the fabric.

The back is an old bed sheet.

Cotton and Linen, Padded

Hand quilted

Made between April and October 2024
